3. What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing repeatedly and
expecting different results.

We're insane if we think the elections aren't rigged.

12. oh come on, republicans don't cheat, steal and lie.......

anyway, people on both sides of this argument are correct:

1) repukes own the vote counting machines. they cheat. period.

2) democratic voters are not as rabid as the wing nuts. they do a better job of getting out the vote than we do.

5. I kicked that link onto GP, Catwoman.
You mean DU doesn't seem "reality based" today (and last night)?

Some times the truth just sucks and the numbers just are NOT there - and that is just the way it is.

Change the numbers - the only solution.

10. And that truth is that 51% of the electorate doesn't bother voting
because neither party is giving them much hope of a better life for themselves or their children.

Consider what would have happened had the Democratic Party been able to reach just 10% of those abstainers in 2004. The crooked machines would have been overwhelmed and STupid would be back in Texas, drunk on his ass and telling everybody what a big shot he used to be.

15. THE REAL REASON.........
why Dems lose key elections is they always lose what I call the "Earhardt vote". You know, those beer drinking, Nascar watching, country music lisining, red-necks.

20. That is not the reason.
And please remember that a lot of the "Earhardt voters" are good, solid down-to-earth people who see through bush like he's made of glass.

The strength of the Repub party will always be the corporations controlled by extremely wealthy white men combined with dirty politics of the bush family. The "Earhardt voters" were not responsible for the purging of voter lists in Florida 2000 nor the suppression of voters and election tampering in Ohio 2004.

26. There you go.
I live in a red area of a blue state, and I can attest that many people that you might think would be bush supporters because of their "Earhardt" lifestyle absolutely despise that contemptuous little bastard.

28. I beg to differ
I live in a Nascar-zone with lots of country music lovers, including mistermonkey's family, and I am always surprised at how many of them vote Dem, and how few of them love Bush. Gotta shake the stereotypes to reach more people AFAIC.

18. Surely no rational Democrat doubts...
what should be called an absolute certainty that election fraud on a critical scale has been performed on the last several major elections (at least). The means exist. The motive certainly exists. Alas, the opportunity also exists.

The statistics are clear, and with sufficient unadulterated data, the math does not lie. The exit polls confirm and the prompt attempt to change and coverup the exit polling data also tends to confirm the conspiracy. Even the pre-election polls support the same conclusion: that the final results had been changed since they failed to reflect all available evidence.

To make it an incontrovertible 'certainty', we would need a paper trail; the conspirators weren't stupid--they ensured there would be no way to legally prove the fraud had occurred, and failing that, that the conspirators themselves could be associated with the fraud. Very clever, and possible only because they hold a majority in Congress (and a majority of the elections officials in a majority of states--thus being in the state and local positions needed to implement the environment required to accomplish this fraud).

In a nutshell... If it can be done--it will be done, and, it really can be done!

-and-

If you can control whether or not evidence will be created, and control whether or not an investigation will be done, and control what limited evidence remains and can change it, and you can control whether or not inconsistencies both large and small get covered by the media... you can commit any crime and be assured that nothing will be done. What a sweet position for criminals to be in.

And finally... If you can manipulate the vote counts in an untraceable way, you can and will ensure that your own candidates win--and there's nothing the loser's side can do about it. That's back to that phrase "if it can be done, it will".

And, so "it was".

Anyone who is familiar with the reported problems and contradictions, who understands in a general way the results of the statistical analysis, who also has a modest understanding of the technology involved, and who is both rational and honest: CANNOT CONCLUDE that WE WERE NOT DEFRAUDED. They MUST conclude our votes have been changed and discarded to ensure a significant winning margin for the Republican Presidential candidate (and probably many of the Congressional candidate/races as well). We have a fraudulent President. This should stand as sufficient cause for the most extreme political action--as we have witnessed a subtle, non-violent Coup d'état--here, in the United States! Obviously, it would be best if we can resolve this problem without resorting to the most serious actions (we never dreamed it could come to such a thing, not now, and not here? surely not?). Perhaps. So, even "We" who accept the truth (or who think we do), are avoiding accepting the full implications of it... If we truly face reality--it's much scarier than all but a few have fully appreciated--the rest of us cling to the hope it isn't really true or that it's just an aberration that can be fixed from within the system... let us hope we are right.

Sorry for that, but I'm glad I got my point across. I really don't understand why this chasm exists, but it does. I sure hope we can at least get people united on this. It just seems to me that both of these factions TOTALLY DISMISSING the view of the other just seems so, so, so...

I'm saying that those who don't believe that the Republicans have rigged/are rigging/and will continue to rig elections can't handle the truth.
