Timely quote about Coretta Scott King - Please Read!
"She would always admonish us that ... one of the ways you bring about change is, you must change yourself so that you're prepared to lead people in the direction they should go. If your emotions are as bad as those you're fighting, even if your cause is just, you disqualify yourself from being effective," the Rev. Al Sharpton told CNN on Tuesday.

(emphasis mine)

This seemed like a very appropriate reminder for us at this time. I was privileged to meet Mrs. King once and she radiated strength and kindness simultaneously. She didn't raise controversy - she raised awareness and the collective conscience of a nation, she brought hope and understanding. She always showed tremendous grace under pressure and always had a simple finesse about her.

She was what we should all aspire to be and in that way she will live forever.

We should all honor her by taking her advice and refusing to become what we are fighting.

2. People get off of te sidelines and start fighting for what you want and
don't wait on these leaders to do it for you - enough is enough.

Imagine if the Kings would have waited for someone else to do IT???!?!?!?

We are the people and the people hold the power.
