Because it sure seems like a lot of relatively "new" posters are coming on using (subconsciously) terminology I previously only heard on the Rush Limbaugh show (there are reasons I listen to it, which have to do with geography). Just bopping around this morning I ran into "loonie left", and "whining democrats" and "democrat party".

I'm not going to embarrass the posters by linking them up, but it seems pretty dang fishy to me.

There is always the outside chance that these aspiring disruptors will be exposed to some fact, figure, or opinion that will get them thinking. Remember when Picard let the borg they'd rescued go back and rejoin the collective - and his new sense of individuality screwed up the borg so badly?

And before you say they can't possibly respond to new thoughts, I'd just like to point out that I was raised a young-earth creationist and was a very conservative christian at one point. Going away to college (a christian college at that) started me asking the questions that lead me to be about as far from where I started as it is possible to get.
