The neo-cons are always demonizing us-why not LITERALLY turn the tables?
This is a little off the wall-I'll admit that right now, but it might resonate fairly well with the people. It’s simple-get a good artist to create the following picture:

The Democratic personalities most Americans will recognize (Kerry, Kennedy, Feingold, Boxer, Obama, Clark, the Clintons, Dean, etc…) clad in white armor, bearing golden swords and shields. Each one bears a different word on his/her breastplate in bright blue: Justice. Compassion. Morals. Mercy. Love. Equality. Caring. Law. Health. Protection. Education. In short, everything that the Democratic party stands for. Several of the Democrats are carrying banners in place of their shields-the American flag, a flag with the Cross on it, a rainbow flag. They’re facing outward, guarding a group of cowering people of every ethnicity and social class.

Surrounding the Democrats are a horde of drooling, leering demons, each with the face of some well-known far-right Republican. Rove, Rumsfeld, Rice, DeLay, Santorum, Frist, Gonzales, Hannity, Coulter etc… Each has an appropriate word branded on its chest or forehead in glowing red letters. Lies. Torture. Hate. Slander. Corruption. Rape. Libel. Warmongering. Deceit. Every vile little act the neo-con Republicans have committed or been indirectly responsible for. If possible, add specific accoutrements to each demon. For example: Rumsfeld should have the heads of dead soldiers and dead Iraqis hanging from his belt.

Leading the horde is a two-headed serpent. One head is Bush, the other is Cheney.

---
There are a few Republicans we could leave out of the horde image or show as people standing off to the side. Snowe, Chafee, McCain, etc… Other than that, every Republican of any note should be pictured in the ranks of Satan.

Put the picture on everything. Billboards, posters, T-shirts, flyers, TV ads. Make it so every American sees it at least once a day. Hammer home the point that the Republicans are pure, unadulterated evil. They may not be fascists bent on taking control of the country, but they are evil, corrupt little scum.

See what results it gets.

I'm open to suggestions.

1. I wouldn't be so quick to give McCain a pass, but
I do love the idea of being more aggressive against the scum that opposes us.

4. If it makes them feel better about how shitty things are
by blaming somebody else, who cares? Let them wallow in it.
