Suppose we win the Senate in November but there are DINOs |
|
who continue to vote rethuglicon on a regular basis? Isn't this the exact situation we had with Reagan? Isn't this scenario fairly realistic?

1. Consider this: Judicary Committee voted 10-8 strict party line for Alito |
|
If there is more of us then then that could have been like 10-9 against Alito and we never have to bust our asses fighting for a filibuster.
BTW, Kerry, Kennedy, Biden & Leahy have a lockhold on who gets on that committee and trust me they aren't giving a seat to anyone who could possibly screw us over in the long run.

3. yes there will be positive results |
|
and it will be better than the current tyranny, but I don't think it will be the panacea many of us seem to be thinking it will be.

8. Personally I'm giving up on the senate |
|
I'm focused on local and house races for 2006. I really feel I could make a difference with those elections
And I do know how to spell Judiciary

2. Look at it this way... |
|
The Majority Leader will be a Democrat. The councils will be shaped by Democrats. It's a start.

I can deal with having some DINO's around who make us really fight for serious progressive agenda's, as long we're in charge of the key committee's and can put a dead stop to the radical rights agenda!

4. There will always be conservative Dems |
|
put it to you this way. Clarence Thomas was approved by a senate that contained 56 Democrats. Thomas should have been rejected on his scant credentials and smarmy lies to the judiciary committee BEFORE the whole Anita Hill story broke. Yet he made it thru.

I'm not expecting that we will get more than a tiny nudge towards the center out of the Democratic wing of the Kleptocracy Party.
