With no real opposition party, Dems. not wanting to fight anything, Delay can carry the base and some SO-CALLED red state dems...etc. Right now, as I see things, Dems have no chance of winning anything.

6. He's pretty tight with the voting machine companies, so good chance.
The only thing that determines elections nowadays is the voting machines.

11. Delay?
I don't think so. But I've heard rumors of Newt Gingrich running.

That would be a DEm disaster, if he got in.

12. Not impossible
As I recently read somewhere. ONly states where Bushie has a more than 50% poll rating- are states where men are men and sheep need beware. Kansas,Alabama, Mississippi. But those baseline of electoral votes is a good jumping off point from which to become president.
Besides, look at the qualifications of so many presidents. Coolidge, Mckinley, Hayes, Arthur,Cleveland,Harrison,Nixon. Anyone think Bush II is some kind of aberration. Why not Delay. Was not Harding equally corrupt.

13. Tom DeLay is damaged goods.
The big boys let him do all the dirty errands and shove people around in Congress and now they're through with him.

The press is all over him and the stench is powerful.

He will be long gone before the 2006 elections, or at the least VERY out of sight.

The odds are astroomical against the GOP nominating DeLay as their banner carrier in 2008.

16. Easy
Diebold just has to write the code for a write-in candidate program. So yes, he could be "elected".

18. He'll still be in jail in '08.
I mean, I know we sank to new levels with "president" W, but I don't see us starting to elect inmates any times soon.

Besides, he won't even be able to vote!
