Lou Dobbs is kicking some Bush tush -- doing a great job! |
|
If you missed this, try to watch on replay, because he was giving his take on the Real State of the Union in a pre-SOTU program. If only our Dem leaders will do as well tonight.
I love this guy.

7. Yeah, but let's not diminish it that he's bashing Bush tonight |
|
Sometimes I think we expect these guys to be slanted toward our side 100% of the time and it just ain't gonna happen.
Now Tweety and some of the other ones, well they're another story.

9. Naw, you can have my share of Lou Dobbs, I've had enough |
|
of Lou and his ways to last. What I've learn from Lou is that he is rather stagnant & stinky.

5. Tonights message hit the nail on the head |

Middle class is going going gone.
High tech jobs also going to China.
I wonder how long China is going to let the US play on the world stage.
When does China call back its bank note
The only high point was boeing selling planes. But then they said that China makes
whoever sells them planes transfer to them know how. They do this by making
the company show them how to make rudders or leading edges on the planes.
They make us buy those parts from them.
The US also buying toilet paper from China now also. I know it doesn't sound like
much but I think its very telling.

He and only he that I am aware consistently talks ups the bad effects of outsourcing on middle class jobs and does it better than most Dems. He's not where I am socially but I don't expect him to be.

10. Dobbs is the only guy on tv who consistently talks up middle class issues |
|
He even notices that the only thing that's kept most families in the middle class (of the ones who remain) is the wives working full time -- families with two incomes hanging on by their fingernails.
He links issues like public education to the demise of the middle class, in a manner that shows he understands just how closely they are linked. Why, he asked tonight, the focus on school "choice" (i.e. vouchers) instead of working like hell to bring ALL public schools back up to snuff?
He pays attention to the fact that the boast that the US has the best health care in the world is a hollow one, when most people can't afford the "best" and live in fear of a catastrophic illness sending them into bankruptcy.
Absolutely I don't agree with Lou on all the issues, but by God the man notices grim reality and says something about it.
I take my friends where I can find them -- and try to remember to thank them when they get it right. :toast:

12. Well said, and I agree. There was only one single time when Lou |
|
ticked me off: it was when he commiserated with that Judith Miller traitor over her (horrors!:nopity: ) jail stint.
