4. He mentioned natural disasters at least twice, but
ProSense is right, he failed totally on incorporating Katrina survivors and fixes into his message.

7. I heard it once "natural disaster" that segued into raising hope for all
americans, hope for jobs and homes. Nothing specific, but I didn't watch the whole thing. It was a weaseley little asshole way of starting to say something but then zip, off elsewhere.

3. There's evidently a 5-7 day delay in the administration's response
whenever New Orleans residents are involved.

That's about how long it took for Bush to respond when Katrina hit.

You're quite right -- Dubya drowned them all over again tonight by hardly acknowledging their plight. He gave it a little tentative lip service, but little more.
