Leaderless Democrats and the Angry Opponents
Earlier today I saw a post that criticized the Democrats who are angry and the Democratic Party and are considering leaving it or connecting to a third party. I think this, criticizing the Democrats who are angry, is wrong. I am one of those who is planning to stay with the Democratic Party; however, the party does have some problems that should be talked about. Also, some of us should be asking some question of the supposed Democratic leaders.

Presently, there are stories about soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan who need pillows. In addition, I just came from the website/blog Think Progress. They had a list of some of the things Bush said and how they compare to reality. When I hear stories like the one involving the pillows and then go to places like Think Progress I begin to think the Democratic Party does not have any leadership. I think this because I do not hear the leadership talking about these things. Why can't some of the supposed leaders of the Democratic Party come out and point out that although Bush continually says America must end its dependency on foreign oil he has cut or tried to cut every program that would have brought about that change? Why don't they point out that most of the things he has done that will lead to independence from foreign oil where forced upon him? I do not think Think Progress had this under the health care section, but when Bush talks about health care why doesn't someone from the Democratic Party point out that all of the major mining accidents, especially the last one was cause by Bush rolling back regulations on the mining industry even when there was proof that the rollback of the regulations could cause harm to mine workers? Finally, it makes me ask way didn't the Democratic Party allow the governor of West Virginia give the response to the President since his state had just felt the bad sting of Bush policies and this would give the Democrats a chance to show a contrast between them and Bush? So, to all of those who criticize those who complain about the Democratic Party you have a right to be critical, but sometimes it does seem like we do not have good leadership.

1. I see your criticism as something unusual on DU
there is some thoughtful, honest anger and disappointment toward the dems.

But it is drowned out by tons of bogus anger for anger's sake, spinning everything against the dems.
