The Republican Slogan in 2006
I just heard on the news that the republican slogan to help them get elected is this: "Republicans will keep you safe. Republicans will cut your taxes."

My response: "Republicans will start World War 3. Republicans will kill you."

What should our slogan be besides "We can do Better" (LAME)

7. I saw that too.
I thought it was well done and the message was very clear. I tried to catch the credit at the end, but didn't quite get it. It was something like America United for Change...or Americans for Change..or Americans Unite for Change (.org) It was appealing AND thought-provoking at the same time.

TIME FOR CHANGE would be a good slogan because the Democrats could discuss just about anything under that slogan....especially since they are always being accused of not having a plan.

6. A true message would address fascism, Empire, and the police state.
I do not need to keep saying that prohibition was the worst policy mistake of the twentieth century, just to be boring. But I want to raise a point and it has to do with words.

We have had a policy of prohibition starting in 1914. But nobody says prohibition in government or in the media. They do not want any discussion of the policy of prohibition. The great thought stopping motto was "Just say no." That is the way that prohibition was defended and all talk of it silenced.

Now look at the words fascism, Empire, and police state. Those would be suckass words on the SOTU bingo cards. They are not going to say prohibition either. It is all thoughtherding and some things they do not want to talk about. But this is true of both parties.

So, I give you the answer to what the Democratic Party slogan might be, but I would have to use some words that the Democrats will not use. Busting up the media is not going to be a call made by Democrats, although most every person on this board would do it on the first opportunity if given the power.

My slogan as an individual is "We're screwed." The message I receive from the Democrats is that we offer representation without representation better than the Republicans.
