In the recent federal budget cut package that was passed and signed just a few days ago, Bush agreed to cut the National Renewable Energy Labratory budget by $25 million. Less than 2.5% of US oil consumption is used to produce electricity - at *small* peaking facilities that large nuke or coal plants cannot replace.
They really do think we're stupid.
