You can post a message...just scroll down to the bottom of the page to add your comment. The comments seem fairly evenly divided, pro and con, so far.

This woman is a blithering IDIOT who got what she deserves (actually, much less, but thats beside the point). She was told that protesting in any way is prohibited inside the capitol, and she chose to do it anyway. And then all the whiny lil peaceniks say she's being treated unfairly....As Carlos Mencia would say....DEE DEE DEE!!! ya buncha ding dongs

Ah, freedom is on the march. To jail, apparently.

I think Drudge misses a few critical points in trying to equate the man who wore a "Clinton sucks" shirt to Sheehan- that man was released, not charged. That man wore a shirt that crudely insulted the president. Sheehan has been charged for wearing a shirt that questions policy, but makes no insult towards Bush. While I agree that escorting her out was an appropriate response if she did not wish to comply with the events dress code, it should have stopped there.

The current administrations vicious attacks on anyone who dares criticize their policies is disturbing and, frankly, chilling. What makes it worse is the blatant hypocrisy, masked as patriotism, which surrounds it. Well, that and the power grabs, lying about the war, Katrina cover-ups, and civilian surveillance, of course.

The people of the united states should thank the capitol police for there prompt expulsion of this woman from the State of the Union Speech, This is a black tie affair and no one should be allowed to enter the event with a t-shirt. This is not the place for protesters to show there support for one thing or another. What really suprises me is that a congress woman would allow such a thing happen at this event. I think this should be the bigger story.

Ms. Sheehan was totally out of place. It appears that she also took advantage of an invitation to attend the speech. The State of the Union address is for every american and not for a few to address their concerns....She knows in her heart as well as others that she intended to display the T-shirt....otherwise why would she have worn it.....she abused the privldege of attending the speech.
