11. no, we aren't afraid of the truth like they are.
I believe that the biggest obstacle the Democrats have to sending the repukes totally into exile is the PERCEPTION of a lack of a firm stand on anything. I know it is because for repukes it is a simple matter of herding sheep while for Dems it is more like herding cats.

That said, there will never be a better opportunity to show the typical American Idol watching, Bud Light drinking typical Joe what differenciates the two parties. I know efforts are being made but the bottom line is that Democrats appear to be squandering a golden opportunity.

8. so true, so true... i watched a little of cspan this morning, and the
sen from arzonia called dem names, talked about how disgraceful we are to question alito, talked about cindy. said dems don't practice what our mothers teach us, blah, blah, blah. then they bring on a dem and he lets all of that shit go by.

15. It makes a good point. The party has to find 41 who won't cave in.
We had the votes to stop cloture, we just didn't have the 41 senators who would do it.
