If a Terrorist Surveillance Plan was working.... |
|
How come all it takes for Al Qaeda leadership to communicate with anyone in the US is simply to send a video or audio tape to Al Jezeera and 'voila' there it is ? Why bother with US telecom / NSA surveillance at all ?
The only ones being surveilled are US citizens and without warrants at that. Probable cause now means 'anyone Bush suspects'. This is more than likely to mean his political oppositon in the US, not the Muslim underground jihadis.
The simple fact that vegetarians in Georgia and Ragin' Grannies in California are getting more attention than OBL should wake our Freeper friends out of their long deep sleep.

"Our" Freeper friends, are not asleep they are brain dead. Terri Schiavo had more brain functions then most supporters of BushCo.
Only those that are asleep can be woken, the dead, are just dead!!!!

2. it's not working, it can't work. |
|
they run those checks in Farsi, Urdu, Spanish, maybe Basque, standard Arabic, and English, nevermind the 20 dialects of Urdu and Farsi that exist that are barely intelligible even to native speakers.
The fact is if they had EVER caught a terrorist with a wiretap it would be on the news 24/7 to justify the program. The REAL fact is they're looking for tax evaders, petty drug dealers, and political dissidents, all of the english speaking garden variety American kind.
It's just more made up horsecrap that they're jamming down our throats.

3. And with RFIDs and background checks they can screw US citizens |
|
more than they can EVER do to foreigners. The TIA deal was meant for Bush's political opposition. Here's how it'll work. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=102&topic_id=2025401

You can bet your last Riyal they aren't using the freaking telephone! If they were, which I highly doubt, they surely aren't now!
Which makes the argument moot and the surveillance totally unnecessary.
