Is there a single photo of U.S. Rep. Bill Young's Wife wearing that shirt?
Or any footage of her leaving the capital?

You know where I'm going with this, right?

Are there any pics or footage?

1. For national security reasons
The photos have been placed in a filing cabinet, next to the Bush/Abramoff pix.

And they've been sealed by executive order.

16. Also for the sake of national security
The hoax was put in the same cabinet.

No, I agree with you. This is a crock. This week's version of Mrs. Scalito's crying jag.

Everything these fucks do is so patently false that only the media and the kool-aid drinkers at FR believe it.

2. Nope, just her word, her husband's word
and maybe the word of the guard who gently escorted her out.

She did hold up such a shirt at a press conference, though.

Fe fi fo fum, I smell bullshit.

6. So "a" pro-Bush shirt does exist near the area. That is all that proves.
Edited on Wed Feb-01-06 06:46 PM by Dr Fate
Until I see a photo of her wearing it, my guess is that this was concocted in order to "balance" this in the media.

Damage control at its best.

4. All I've seen was her husband holding up the T-shirt on the floor
of the House, pissed and bitching about what happened.

5. Holding it up- well, at least "a" shirt exists, we know that much.
Edited on Wed Feb-01-06 07:08 PM by Dr Fate
Whether it was ever on her back and whether she was really asked to leave, well, I need proof. Like a photo or film.

11. Remember when DeLay's Dick
Duegergan (?) at a press conferance, held up a shirt with DeLay's mug shot and said that Moveon.org was selling them. Ha! It was a lie.

The moral of the story is don't trust Republicans with t-shirts, including Rep. Young.

Without documentation, the Young story is suspicious.

12. Exactly- holding a shirt the next day and wearing it are not the same.
I want to see a photo of her wearing that shirt in the capital.

7. I saw him waving the shirt on MSNBC this afternoon.....?
I believe it was at the top of the noon hour, come to think of it, never saw that again  It was on the chamber floor, and he was Maddy-Mad-Mad ! The shirt, was a simple Support the Troops, but guess he didn't get the Rovian Cindy message?

Allison Stewart reported the clip, if that helps.

9. All that proves is that "a" Pro-Dush shirt exists in Washington D.C.
I'm asking for a photo of her WEARING it in the captial building.

A film of her leaving would be nice too.

Do they exist?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11120353/ I think they're going to cover it. In the meantime, I'm still looking for "Beverly Young" on internet images?

8. But ...
if Cindy sues, she can depose the Representative and his wife and, if it is a lie manufactured by the Administration (or whoever), it'll be exposed. Not that most Amerikans would care, but, whenever something like this comes to light, I believe a few more doubtful eyes are opened just that much more.

...surely the same media who filmed Sheehan's shirt filmed this one too- if it was really worn in the Capital.

18. why does it matter? We should be thanking Bev Young.
We should be thanking our lucky stars that Bev YOung claims (truthfully or not) that she was asked to leave the SOTU because she was wearing a "message t-shirt". As a result (a) the media has been unable to marginalize Cindy Sheehan as some kook and (b) its made the story twice as big and gotten Cindy and her message twice as much coverage.

We should all send cards to good ol' Bev. Really.

19. it matters b/c your version is not the media spin- the spin is this:
"Oh well, all is fair, they "kicked out" the Republican too."

Seems like it is there to "balance" the story.

I think it is a hoax, until I see photos of her WEARING the shirt in the Capital, or her leaving while wearing the shirt.

23. that's not the spin I'm seeing
The spin I'm seeing is that the cops fucked up with respect to both Sheehan and Young. If Young hadn't been (or claimed to be) booted, the spin would be "that kooky Sheehan got tossed for not having the courtesy or sense not to protest at the SOTU". In fact, that was basically the spin until the Young story broke. Before Young, Sheehan was not being portrayed sympathetically by the media; now she and Young are being treated as the victims, deserving of an apology.

Plus, there's way more publicity for Cindy (and not negative) than would would otherwise have been the case.

24. I see -so the Young Hoax gives them a "overzealous police" excuse.
Edited on Wed Feb-01-06 08:34 PM by Dr Fate
And some pundits are indeed spinning it the way I presented it as well. You will see at least a few pundits give it that spin that I suggest.

If a Republican had not been "removed for a TV shirt too", then it would be harder to pin it on "overzealous police- who are just doing their jobs in a non-biased manner."

Something stinks. I want photos.

Surely there WAS a manned camera nearby.

So where are the photos?
