Bill Nelson's Statement on Alito:
<http://www.billnelson.senate.gov/news/hottopics.cfm>

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito

Sen. Nelson has voted for almost all of President Bush's judicial nominees; and, he greeted Justice Alito's nomination with an open mind. But Justice Alito's many legal writings and judicial opinions convinced Sen. Nelson he would tilt the scales of justice in favor of big government over the average person. Because Justice Alito is not the centrist voice Sen. Nelson believes this nation needs to replace the retiring Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, who fiercely defended the rights and liberties of all Americans, Sen. Nelson voted no on his confirmation. All told, during five-plus years in the Senate, Sen. Nelson has voted for 216, or 96 percent, of the president's 226 judicial picks, including Miguel Estrada and Chief Justice Roberts.

1. Too late, Billy-boy...
You're not my Senator anymore. I called and told you that a "no" vote is as good as a "yes" vote if you don't have the balls to filibuster. Not that you would have listened to me, anyway.

4. The asswipe voted yes in the only vote that counted. Off to email
to see if he has a primary opponent.
