Gas price when Bush took office
Does anyone know what the average price of gas was when Bush took office for the first time?

6. Jest kiddin'
I use MPG to calculate my mileage all the time. It seems to make more sense to me.

I made an Excel spreadsheet that does all my calculations and conversions for me.

So, like, I'm not TOTALLY dumb...

:hi:

5. During the Y2K campaing, Smirk was bashing Clinton for
letting oil get to $22/barrel - boasting about how he would "jawbone" OPEC to get them to send us more oil. Miserable, lying loser.

8. around $1.50-$1.70
and remember the controversy when Gore and Clinton made the announcement in September 2000 to release oil from the reserve because Bush's critism of the price of gas at the time was getting traction. $1.70 was pissing GOP voter's off at the time, now they are loath to critisize with prices hovering at $2.40 and certain to go over $3 for most if not all of the summer. And if we sanction Iran, prices will soar higher, if we bomb Iran prices will soar higher, if we do nothing prices will go higher. Why, cause Rice said the time for talking with Iran is over and Seymor Hersh told us, we're screwing the pooch by not talking with Iran.

9. Few people besides us remember such things, sadly.
Craig Crawford was right when he said that the public's attention span is five seconds long. We can thank the media whores for that, and the Chimp admin. for exploiting that fact to the fullest. Where's Osama? What about Katrina? etc....
