The Media Won't Say It
This morining I am watching the Today Show. The first story was about US dependence on foreign oil. The Today Show reporters pointed out that Bush, in his SOTU address, said that he wanted to reduce America's dependence on foreign oil. Throughout the whole segment, which included Thomas Friedman, none of the Today Show people pointed out that yesterday the Bush Secretary of Energy stated that Bush did not really mean his comment that he wanted to reduce our depedence on Middle Eastern oil by 75% by 2025. The Secretary said that Bush meant this statment to be an example of what should be done.

5. Naw, You've Got The Wrong Man...
Kerry is the flip-flopper. Remember?

We need a list of the current administration's flip-flops. My gut feeling is that they are numerous...aka, the list would be HUGH!:P

6. I really loved his
education initiative :sarcasm: that would help bring math and science into the forefront...talk to any parent of an elementary age kid and they'll tell you that math and science is being left out in order to get the scores up for the "Every Child Left Behind" Act....that's a flip flop if there ever was one...and will that Act be disabled? Because if not, Bush just spewed a wad of shit with that statement.

2. Huh?
How are the two statements different? Sounds like doublespeak to me...

"wanted to reduce...what should be done"

3. What a brilliant new concept. reduce dependence on foreign oil
Al Gore has only written two books on the subject and traveled around the world on speaking tours about it. Notice Bush* hasn't had a brilliant idea about conserving though. As a "Conservative" should he at least mention conserving? Democrats have been trying to Conserve on everything while Republicans just love to wallow in it...Republicans make Jesus proud....

4. Well of course...
It's typical of everything this regime says & does... Say one thing, but mean the exact opposite.

8. Most Americans do not realize that all of his proposals
for alternative energy programs are tie to the drilling in ANWR. If the ANWR legislation doesn't pass, then neither does the paltry funding(which is laughable) for alternative energy research.
