Cindy Sheehan DiFi, the Democratic Party
Edited on Thu Feb-02-06 11:38 AM by nadinbrzezinski
You know for people who talk a good game about wanting change, when Cindy Sheehan floated the balloon that she might run against DiFi, a lot of you have said, I will not voe for a radical and she does not belong in congress, et al.

You know this is exactly what is wrong with the party. I dare ask, what is Cindy Sheehan's stance on abortion, anyone? How about the Economy? Did I hear her from the ditch proclaim her stance on education? Nope, none of this, The only thing we know is that she is against the war and would like to ask the king why did her son die? We all complaint about the establishment candidates, and DiFi is as establishment as they come. We also complaint about CARREE politicians who built experience first in the states and then in Congress... and DiFi is as career as they come. So we have one mon, who lost a son, going, you know what I might take the plunge and run against the Establishment, I might do what many of you say we all should do... and what do I hear? She can't win, she is a radical, she is this, she is that, but the pure message is, why change horses in mid stream. We are truly happy, even if we grouse about it, with our Republican Lite. So when the theory is out there that a a liberal will run against DiFi everybody is for it, but once you have a name a bunch of you get cold feet? Now I truly know why the Democratic Party will not change, not in the near future. The base, yes you... are as afraid of change as the party leadership. Time to grow some spines folks. You want change? You need to take some chances.

1. My view on a Dem primary
is that Dems should vote for the candidate of their choice. But once the primary is over, then I vote for the Democratic candidate, even if I have to hold my nose.

I have disagreed with Feinstein many times, by the way, so I will keep an open mind if she has a challenger in the primary.
