What's with asking for the line item veto in the SOTU? Was he asleep the 8 years before he bacme president?

the unconstitutional declared line item veto could be declared un-unconstitutional since Alito seems to be in favor of anything to increase the powers of King George.

6. Bubba used the line item veto 82 times in 18 mos. before it was reversed
and he supported it whole-heartedly.

It'll keep congress from attaching it's own pay raises to bills voted on in the dead of night, as has happened in the past.

7. There's actually a couple of measures....
to amend the Constitution to allow the President a line-item veto on appropriations.

5. Not sure why he needs it with his "signing statements"
I mean it's like he's already making his own laws anyway and no one does jack shit about it.
