Why do Americans rate Bush HIGH on security when |
|
thousands died in plain sight on television from a natural disaster that was predicted days in advance and had also been the subject of "war games" by this administration? "Hurricane Pam" was the situational game that they learned nothing from. So how come we feel safer with this bozo and his cronies in charge? They are not capable of dropping Granola bars on the Convention Center and they can't find OBL. Oooooh! I feel so safe!

The media and Bush's handlers have concocted a phony macho image for the clown. He talks tough and the sheeple buy it. They never pay attention to the fact that his tough talk never leads to favorable results.
If the media were not totally controlled, Bush would be shown for the naked emperor that he is. Just those minutes reading "My Pet Goat" should have been enough to tell people how macho Bush isn't.

This is exactly one of the weak areas the Dems should attack. Little mention of this in the SOTU or in our response from Kaine. We get the constant message that we're weak on national security. Why not point out the lack of response and the utter incompetence of Homeland Security/FEMA not only in initially responding to the Gulf Coast but also the continued poor effort in that regard? Plays right into the kleptocracy and cronyism culture theme. Notice when we do talk about this, they are quick to deflect by talking about failed local/state responses. But clearly the feds screwed this one up and to let Bush off the hook is just not right. Although NOLA is in the news notice how many RED states are affected by storm damage and have not received adequate federal response. Even Trent Lott is bitching. I just have to wonder why we don't have more reach out to the Gulf. Clearly there are a lot of disenfranchised folks down there in need of help. They will remember this administration for the lack of attention, despite their initial grandiose promises of disaster relief.

it's not about what Bush actually does, it's far more about fear of global-level change and an expression of provincial-American xenophobias/hatreds.
The rating falls large chunks of points every time Al Qaeda attacks in the West and exposes all the Bush posturing.

8. 'Security' in this context... |
|
...means 'killing brown people who worship the wrong god'.
On this, Bush delivers the goods.
Polling terms sometimes need translation from English to English.

or cause the dems suck so bad at it.
We have to make them understand that if your home security system does not give you a sense of security, then why keep it?
