something on one of the nightly news shows that he got called on the open floor money thing like 12 years ago by some other congressmen. He made an open apology on the floor and a public apology to his constituents through local news, and has been despised by lobbyists since.
I know that's vague, because I don't have a reference, if I remember I'll come back to it later, but I've got to go to work now, sorry.
I'm just saying that I don't think this kind of thing is going to stick to him with the general public. If he needs to be torn down, I think it will probably have to be by opposing his ideals forthright. But, that may mean that Dick Gephardt needs to come back and argue with him.

|
He's got the class, depth, and credibility that O'Lielly and Hannity could only hope to have.

10. at first these observations: |
|
("· Why is John Boehner there for Republican leadership every time they need it, but nowhere to be found when the people of Ohio need it?
’John Boehner moved over a chair or two in the Republican leadership's game of musical chairs, but the special interests are still playing the same old tune," said DCCC Chairman Rahm Emanuel. "Republicans just voted for one more year that will be exactly the same for the American people as the last five. At its core, this is a vote for the special interests and the status quo -- when what the American people want is change."
In what is just a small sample of what the country can from the Boehner-led House, just yesterday, House Republicans rubberstamped for the president a budget that is bad news for every family in the country. The budget contains nearly $13 billion in cuts from student aid, and $22 billion in giveaways to HMOs. Last summer, the Republican leadership also gave Americans an energy bill that guaranteed a $14 billion giveaway to the same energy companies that are posting record profits.’")
At first these obsevations seem to be damning, but, and I'm not defending Boehner here, isn't that what the party kinda expects. Doesn't the people who voted this guy into office want a Republican, not someone who breaks off of the Republican line. They obviously feel he is there for them, keeping him in that seat for 15 years now.
And from what I've read this guy is as close to an actual fiscal conservative as you'll find in Congress, as he has never (I almost couldn't believe it...NEVER) earmarked a project to a bill. And he's been at it since 1990. I ALMOST LIKE the guy just for standing up (or at least sitting tall) for his ideals, even if they are conservative.
Voting party line doesn't bother me. It's expected. So these articles mean little if nothing. There has got to be something better on this guy.
