Perhaps Democrats should go completely silent ??
Some would say they are already there. But, I mean totally silent. "No comment" on anything. If the press wants a comment on any matter, let them ask a Republican. Democrats should not say or do anything that could get reported on the "news". Just disappear. Become invisible. Then the media would have to report on the Republicans. Because the Republicans are in charge of everything anyway. Perhaps then, we could get some real "news"?

1. That's been my thought as well...
Dems can't get a word in edgewise, everything is swift boated and construed as being non patriotic - perhaps they should pool their money and get some public access cable channel and produce their own news - better yet, start a zillion town hall meetings around the country.

2. Or, here's a REEEEEALLY radical notion
Democrats go on strike completely. All Dem officeholders step down, from US Senate to local dogcatcher. Let Republicans run the entire show.

Now, of course, that's beyond absurd, plus dangerous: I'd be nervous at the kind of laws that get passed under such a regime.

3. And you're not nervous already?
There would be no one to blame. They would have ot accept responsibility.

4. C'mon, you know these people better than that...
They're like the guy who would gun down 30 people, on camera, in front of 20 eyewitnesses with a clear view, and still maintain his innocence.

5. maybe that's not such a bad idea
the bias of the press is so overwhelming
anything a Dem says - you can be sure it will be twisted and used against them

take a few weeks ago - Hillary's "plantation" remark, Reid's apology - turn on the Sunday morn shows and that's all
you heard. This in the face of the NSA wiretaps, the Abramoff scandal, the continuing debacle in Iraq, the lousy economy, I could go on and on with the number of subjects the press could be covering...

but, by god, a democrat says something the least bit controvesial and it's front page news.
