To all my fellow Americans who happen to be chickenshit chickenhawks who like to take a peak over here, do something good with your life. You wanna kill Arabs, the Army has a plan for you. Unless of course you are all talk and no testicles. I'd be more than proud to break out the old dress blues and attend your funeral. Momma will get a nice flag and your family will eventually discover you died in vain, but what the hell, that's America under a bush administration. What's stopping you, testosterone deficiency?

He should send the Bush Twins over to fight his war. No one would miss them except the thousands of boyfriends tricks they leave behind.

9. New employment opportunity for "conservatives" |
|
Lower ASVAB scores, a wink and a nod to criminal records and the Navy's blue to green program where mediocre Sailors and Officers in the Sea Service who have no chance of promotion in the NAV can transfer to the Army and not lose a paygrade. Who says this country doesn't love its conservative community?

12. don't forget- they raised the enlistment age |
|
The old "I'm too old" excuse won't hold for the wimps now; the Army will take them up to 40. (I intend to use this on Little Brother, if he gets out of line.)

if they don't have enough money for gas, or Mom won't drive them there.
BOSSHOG, thank you for your service. Wonder if you ever bumped into my uncle; he was a Chaplain in the Navy for 28 years. He was stationed all over the place.

I was just doing my job and you wonderful tax payers thank me every first day of the month. I recall a recent discussion on DU about a Navy Chaplain who was trying to politicize his office, he insisted on his right to proseletize and went on a hunger strike in support of his evil "conservative" ways. In 1986, I was assigned to Naval Station Philadelphia and a new Chaplain checked onboard in Uniform. I was a young Sailor at the time and I asked him if he were Catholic. He said, "Son, I'll be whatever you want me to be." Now that is how our Military Chaplains have to be. He wasn't Catholic but he was one incredible human being.

10. He is a Catholic priest |
|
I asked him once about that, and he said that ALL chaplains are taught to minister to ALL faiths. He said prayers with Sailors and Marines of all denominations; he didn't care which church they belonged to.
He is a great guy, and I named my oldest son after him; we saw him on CBS saying prayers on an amphibious assault craft right before the Gulf War. They flew him off immediately after as he would have been the highest-ranking officer on the vessel; not allowed in an emergency or war situation. Dad sent him the telegram telling him that he had a great-nephew with his name. He could have walked on the water to get home after we told him that.
When I was a kid, I spent a summer with him when he was stationed at Lejeune, and later at Norfolk.
Damn Marines used to take me out to the bars when he was busy on the weekends. I was only 15. Bunch of nuts.
