1. Thanks for this tip. John Edwards is not going to go away any time
soon.

And that's a very good thing for American national life.

4. He's inspiring too, as was Carter in '76.
I remember how depressed our country was after the Nixon/Ford admins, it would be nice to have some of that feeling back :loveya:

Right now, JRE is very much involved in getting local and state dems a leg-up for the 2006 mid-terms.

7. Yes. There is a lot of kindred energy with Carter and Edwards.
I have two cousins who are long-time operatives in Democratic politics and both say that they think Edwards will be the nominee.

5. ....and he's a "rock star" too.
Has been selling out his campus tours the past several months. I try and keep up with those events in the John Edwards Supporters Forum. The best articles about him are written in college newsies ! If nothing else, he'll help get the young people passionate about politics by convincing them they can make a difference!

He's also got quite an incentive about how kids can earn a free education. It's somewhere on his website: www.oneamericacommittee.com

6. Thanks for the link !
I did add it on edit to my OP, but worth repeating !!!

I visited Burlington several years ago when my daughter was doing her competitive figure skating thing. Of the many cities and towns we visited, Burlington and Vermont were most memorable. Maybe because we took the train from New York City, which was AWESOME ! For the first time in my life, I knew what it felt like to travel on my husband's train table...LOL...he's a post-war Lionel train collector.

I.am.very.tempted.to.recreate.that.trip :)
