53% of Americans Feel Bush Deliberately Misled Country on Iraq WMD
February 3rd, 2006 @ 4:37 pm

A new Gallup Poll shows that the partisan divide is still “enormous,” but “Independents now aligning much more with Democrats.” That’s just one aspect of the poll published in E&P today. The Gallup Poll, conducted in late January, “reveals that just 39% of Americans approve of the way President Bush is handling Iraq, with 58% disapproving.”

Over half (53%) now say the administration “deliberately misled the American public about whether Iraq has weapons of mass destruction,” with 46% disagreeing. Gallup notes that this finding is “essentially reversed” from one year ago.

Further, some 51% say the U.S. “made a mistake in sending troops to Iraq.” Yet, despite this, only 17% expect a significant reduction of U.S. troops in Iraq in the next year.

11. Just making a point about what works.

We have to stop making peripheral arguments and get to the core issue, like that Bush lied. Kerry failed at that and it looks like Democrats are going to make the same mistake in '06.

15. I think he realizes that now. Pick on someone else who has not.
If you pay attention to his moves these days, he realizes his '04 mistakes...

There are still some DEMS out there who think they can impress voters by playing softball with Bush- Kerry does not seem to be one of 'em...

14. Last night on 'NOW' on PBS......
Lawrence Wilkerson, Colin Powell's former chief of staff, used the word 'hoax' that was played on American people, the U.N., and the international community on the run-up to the Iraq War. Worth Watching.
