They are being 'PRE-set -up'.

1. Not sure this will work.
But then again, logic doesn't seem to matter to a lot of people anymore.

These brave men and women risked their lives in Iraq, and we've been told by our government we must support them; they've served with honor.

Then they come home and choose to run as Democrats - suddenly they're bad guys, their credibility is called into question and they're dragged through the mud.

OK then.

4. Tammy Duckworth is running in my district and she's no dope
This is Dist 6 in Illinois (Henry Hyde is retiring).

I met her at a candidates forum and she far outshines the other Dem candidate Christine Cegelis. She is a very strong candidate who is extremely poised, dynamic, articulate and charismatic and could certainly hold her own against the Republican candidate who is a pathetic shallow rightwing nut.

Frankly, I am glad she's been put up as an alternative to Cegelis. She's no dupe, dope, or even a person who could possibly be "set up". I can't speak to any other race but after having been intimately involved in this one, as an "outsider" ei: I'm not aligned with either campaign, I am just a Dem constituent at this point, but I am glad this Iraq War vet is in the race.

6. I'm writing a letter to each and every paper that carries this article....
stating that I love Vets running....cause it is congress that declares war...and Congress needs to know what war really truly is prior to giving someone who never fought a blank check.

I'm also going to pass this article along to Wes Clark's people. Wes is the chief advisor on a new PAC that was just formed to help raise funds for these folks to run (cause most of them don't have personal fortunes!)

Thanks for pointing the article out! :hi:
