Chris Matthews smoochy-face with Don Evans |
|
Tweety obviously has a personal crush on this guy that absolutely twists any power of reasoning. From the end of the interview on Thursday's Hardball:
MATTHEWS: Great. It‘s great having you on, Mr. Secretary.
EVANS: Thank you, Chris, great to be with you.
MATTHEWS: You‘re one of the good guys. We all like you here. You‘re great, we wish you were back in Washington because you‘re a very civil kind of guy and you‘re bipartisan and everybody likes you and we could use you here in Washington again.
EVANS: Well thanks, Chris.
MATTHEWS: OK, thank you.
EVANS: Who knows, who knows, be sure to say hello to Kathleen for us.
MATTHEWS: I will. And maybe you‘ll be chief-of-staff one of these days.

Don Evans is Bush's closest long-time friend, the former Secretary of Commerce.

4. understand that the power elite in DC all socialize... |
|
except apparently Bush, because he goes nighty-night. The rest of them could be yelling at each other during daylight hours on the floor of the Senate, and guffawing over dinner once the sun goes down. Think of Scalia and Ginsburg...an obvious odd couple, but they and their spouses are best buds. Tweety socializes alot..and with most of these people....so do most of the press.

5. Maybe, but I have NEVER |
|
seen Tweety kiss a Dem's butt, no matter how powerful they are, and regardless of whether he socialized with them or not. He reserves this disgusting behavior ENTIRELY for repukes. I challenge anyone to point to an example of Tweety gushing over a Dem, even a very powerful one.

6. well he used to work for Tip O'Neil |
|
and if memory serves me....Carter. His democratic bona fides are actually in place....yes, he probably goes out of his way to seem "fair" to both sides....which means he wants everyone to forget he's a democrat. Oh, and there's that whole "hardball" thing he's created. I don't like his show very much...just because he uses it to grandstand about his own opinions. I remember him twenty years ago in DC....he was definitely a dem.
