Dems at Gonzales Hearing should refer to Bush as "His Majesty"
Edited on Mon Feb-06-06 03:39 PM by zulchzulu
Since it's all really about how Bush is above the law (based on Repug Excuseniks), just simply refer to Bush as a King... thsi is all going to be a whitewash anyway.

1. This whole thing is starting to seem silly
It's just going to be the dems vs. the repukes. Not one repub has spoken against the wiretapping. What's the fucking point of this? Grassley? Sessions? Seriously?

7. Welcome to Democratic Underground!
And agreed...the Repug Excuseniks are merely avoiding the REAL ISSUE that Bish broke the law and feels he is above the law...they try to distract the argument by asking about Al Aqaeda and how dangerous the World is... that's Not....The....Point!

4. one thing stood out like a sore thumb to me
I had NPR on all day, listened to the hearings. For the most part - no big surprises in the questions

However - Gonzales's answers revealed something. He dodged, blocked and ducked the more pointed questions - much like a lawyer would. He also spun the justifications, i.e. loopholes that were used.

Dodging, ducking, blocking and finding loopholes is something I would want in a lawyer who would be representing me (as an individual). It is not what I would expect of an Attorney General.

Is Gonzales acting as bush*'s lawyer or is he acting as the Attorney General? Which is it? can he be both?

I think the hearing committee needs to look at Gonzales's "unofficial" role as bush*'s lawyer versus his job as Attorney General - there seems to be a conflict of interest here

9. Can't get In to It Gonzales - sunset for America's Andropovs
Edited on Tue Feb-07-06 12:36 AM by dubya_dubya_III
I watched the web cast of this hearing and all I heard all day from the pernicious little excusenik was about how he couldn't "get in to" any answer to a single question, no matter how small or how simple. Do they really think Americans and their enemies are so stupid they have never heard of Echelon, line of sight microwave communications relay tapping from space, Able Danger or any of a myriad of covert clandestine criminal activities of the CIA/NSA/DIA Mafias?

It is simply preposterous that people would simply roll over and accept this criminal "National Insecurity" noble secret fear-mongering that passes for 'classified' nonsense. All this military industrial "enemy engineering and manufacturing" is simply plainly and undeniably unconstitutional.

Why is it when I turn over my Osama Bin Laden doll it says Pat Pending: Bush/CIA 1979? Could the sun finally be setting on British America's rapidly self destructing Andropov Dynasty?

Or perhaps it's finally coming past time for Perestroika and Glasnost in this 'Christian' Fascist Imperial MI6/CIA British America that's now opelessly quagmired and ever further plunging headlong in to "a critical crisis of infrastructure" all due it's own insanely murderous and suicidal mis-engineering.
