Tunnels on Bush's watch - lack of security
I don't know why the news of just one of many tunnels dug across
U.S. borders since 9/11 isn't getting more attention as
evidence of Bush's lack of security oversight.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/01/26/mexico.tunnel/index.html?section=cnn_topstories

"More than 20 cross-border tunnels have been uncovered in California and Arizona since 9/11, she added."

Not just drugs travel tunnels, as we've seen in Yemen.

2. I'm sure CNN will be on this like a goose on a junebug
You know, those fearless bulldogs of the Fourth Estate, explaining the Bush administration's continuing failures to a well-educated and -informed public so that people can judge for themselves, based on incontrovertible facts just how much "safer" we all are.

Or not.

4. Why is this going under the radar so to speak?
I think this is huge and not because of the
drug trafficking.

5. Just another failure not acknowledged by the press
Another hole in our kajillion dollar war on terrorism and they can't even effectively detect holes dug in the ground....

Anderson Cooper actually did a story on it last week or week before and he said they actually brought in Coal Miners so they could observe the construction and stability of the caves. Apparently they were built very well.....Underneath Warehouses in Mexico and the tunnels went under the border for miles and then connected with a Warehouse in the US.

The tunnel that Anderson Cooper spoke about they found tons of pot, shrink wrapped and all.
That was the reason the tunnel was discovered...

Could you imagine if the kind of effort and money was used to find terrorist instead of pot...who knows where we would be in the war of terror!

Sigh....

6. It just pokes a large hole in Bush keeping us safe
of course safety in Bush's brain doesn't include
cleaning water of pharmaceutacals, making levees more secure,
funding COPS, and a whole host of programs
that keep people from living on the streets.
