Republicans Just Can't Deal With The Fact
that black people, by and large, hate their fucking guts.

And rightly so.

They can blather all they want about how it was "inappropriate" or whatever to slam the Illegitimate One at Coretta's funeral.

But, far more "inappropriate" is the fact the Republican party has been the major institutional oppressor of blacks and other minorities for almost eighty years.

Black people not only have a birthright to despise the Republican party, but they'd be divorced from reality if they didn't.

3. Even more inappropriate
"the fact the Republican party has been the major institutional oppressor of blacks and other minorities for almost eighty years."

Even worse is what the Republicans are trying to do. They are trying to make it wrong to acknowledge anything about her that they disagreed with. It's almost like they are trying to manipulate how the past is written to downplay her importance and the importance of the movement she was a part of.

There is something very disturbing about this, kind of makes me think about the book 1984.

4. I've been appalled every time I've seen him with Mrs. King...
She was way more gracious than I could ever be. He used her in life for photo ops. I'm so happy that in death, he's getting what he deserves from this crowd.

5. Gee you would think the Federal Response to Katrina would
have ameliorated the feeling. :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

Never has it been so clear as to who and what is behind the Republican Party.

6. Maybe * should have met with some black leaders these past 5 years.
He snuggles up to Condi, Armstrong Williams, J. Kenneth Blackwell and that ilk, and thinks he's a friend to the black community?

8. It was inappropriate for Bush to be there
but he had to go! I've been laughing all day at the thought of Bush face-to-face with an unscreened audience, having to just sit there and listen to the slams and not being able to say a single thing in reply! It was brilliant. Good for them!

13. It's really sad, in a way...
Lincoln. Seward. Sumner. Stevens. Grant. And, of course, Douglass--and Revels...once upon a time, there was no such thing as a Black Democrat. How times have changed...
