It's just like the Dems to exploit the death of Dr. King's widow . . . |
|
by calling on Americans to live the legacy of her and her husband. What an DESPICABLE way to pay tribute to Mrs. King!
"Like speakers before him, former President Bill Clinton reminded those attending that the work the Kings set out to accomplish is not complete. 'What are we going to do for the rest of our lives?' he asked, urging others to follow in the footsteps of the Kings."
Yep - those Democrats are shameless! It's so much more admirable for politicians to show up in black churches once a year (MLK Day, of course) to say they, too, have a dream and then spend every other day of the year trashing Dr. King's legacy and taking his words completely out of context to argue that he would have opposed affirmative action and civil rights enforcement and supported every evil, twisted anti-civil rights effort these people throw at us.

1. Remember what bush did on MLK Day with the buses? |
|
Something about blocking the people, I can't remember what it was, but he was a total a** in insisting that everything revolve around him and his Magic Fantasy Bubble.

3. He usually uses MLK Day to shield his anti-civil rights acts . . . |
|
MLK Day 2003 - announced intention to oppose University of Michigan's affirmative action program
MLK Day 2004 - laid a wreath on MLK's tomb, next day recess appointed Charles Pickering.
Gets so I tremble whenever I see Bush holding a wreath anywhere near black people...

2. It's also FINE for the Chimp to be up there, representing policies that |
|
involve death, destruction, callousness, and outright illegality. But MENTIONING such things, even obliquely, is "bad taste."
How about DOING them? Is that "bad taste?"

6. Of course, these people are the first to quote Dr. King's "content of |
|
their character" line to justify their opposition to affirmative action - always failing to mention that Dr. King EXPRESSLY supported affirmative action!
These folks will play the race card at the drop of the hat, but suddenly want everything to be color blind when it comes time to remedy racial discrimination.
