Latest Rove fax: Democrats grossly disrespectful at Coretta King's funeral
Edited on Wed Feb-08-06 10:24 AM by Julius Civitatus
Yup, the Rove fax sure is very clear, and the f*cking worthless media bobble-heads are GOING OUT OF THEIR WAY to make sure the Rovian theme permeates the entire agenda for the day. :grr:

Last night I saw Lou Dobbs and Chris Matthews carrying the Rovian orders to the last word (Tweety was particularly mendacious, adding the insult of bringing that dried-up shrew Cathy O'Beirne to trash Lowery and Carter).

Then Paula Zahn bitched and moaned about the "disrespectful Democrats," and literally said "EEEEEWWWW!!!" after she showed the clip of Lowery's words. Paula Zahn declared that Democrats turned the funeral into a "political rally for the 2006 elections."

This morning, CNN and MSNC are continuing with the message, with the foul, despicable Imus and his boys-only club of racist punks, all making fun of the Dems, specially Hillary. They were oh so mean to poor bumbling Bush. Even Maureen Dowd joined on the fun and trashed the Dems. It was disgusting.

They have wasted no time turning the funeral of Coretta King into the funeral of Sen. Paul Wellstone. The very same trick, the very same faux-outrage. ENOUGH!!! Don't let them. Call back, write, email them!!!

Apparently, according to them, the only way to honor the life of a CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST is to shut up and sit pretty. And also let the guy trashing the Constitution and dismantling Civil Rights to read his empty words in the TelePrompter without even a hint of displeasure from the audience or from any other speakers. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. Especially after Katrina.

Enough!!!

Ignore the idiots. I think the whole game of these people is to create controversy and get listeners to respond in some manner. If no one responds, they have to wonder what they missed. The more emails they get the longer they stay on an issue.

8. Let's start calling this kind of crap exactly what it is!
It's propaganda!

This word needs to be re-introduced to the American vernacular and WE need to be the ones to do this, because a lot of Americans still do not relaize that they have been PROPAGANDIZED!

9. If any of these bastards had had one ounce of respect
for Ms. King during her lifetime, then their posturing after her death would begin to approach some level of reason.

And I'd also consider their mock shock in a different light if any of them had expressed disgust and horror at the way the government propagandized the death of Pat Tillman.

10. Because it is their job
To tell people what kind of funerals are approved by the Government, and what can be said at a funeral.

I love the talk about "politicizing" the funeral of Coretta Scott King. The woman was an influential and inspiring POLITICAL figure. What are they supposed to talk about at her funeral?

And who the f*ck gives them the right to sit in judgement on someone else's funeral, or how they grieve? (Although of course they've done it over and over, most recently with Cindy Sheehan and Michael Schiavo) Talk about politically correct!

I'd really like to know. Nothing was said that was offensive. How can messages such as "taking care of the less fortunate" and talking about the wiretaping of Dr. King be offensive? It sounds like once again the Corporate media is trying to protect the feelings of their boy, George W. Bush.

They say we're too sensitive. Maybe the Repigs need to look in the mirror.

13. you know who Rove is
He's the guy that rounds up the peasants, hands them their regulation torches and pitchforks, and has them go burn down the castle and torch the occupants - on theory there's a monster lurking there somewhere.

He's the guy who calmly circulates disinformation and calculated hysteria designed to provoke violence and rioting and lasting hatred.

He's the sociopath who sees exactly what IS not what SHOULD BE, and he's not afraid to use it in the most cynical way possible.

In other regimes, he would be drawing up plans to "re-educate" the jews, to send the literati into the killing fields "to work the farms" and personally handing out little blue plastic bags to suffocate anyone who disagrees with him.

You want a "monster" - Karl Rove is that thing.

Rove is using the corporate media whores to strike back at those who thoroughly humiliated Junior yesterday.

We really are living in two separate universes. That is why we cannot keep electing polite career politicians.

Kick some ass and help the progressive outspoken candidates win in the primaries and in November.

Same tricks, same book of tricks, same page. Rove keeps using the very same tricks over and over... and it works, and Dems keep losing, falling for the very same tricks. But I may be unfair in my characterization, given that the entire media is in his pocket. It's a rigged fight.

Countdown: whoe will be the first Democrat to trash the "politicization" of Coretta King's funeral? Lieberman? Vilsack? Ford?

27. What office is Carter, Clinton, The Rev. Joseph running for?
I think the political remarks hit a sensitive spot and "someone" who will remain anonymous so as not to trigger a wiretap, went home with his tail between his legs. Surely, the influential blacks will come forth today in support of the comments made and make a mockery of the RW propaganda machine.

How can you criticize what was said when 10,000+ people rose to their feet and offered thunderous applause for those same comments being criticized? My goosebumps got a workout. We should all be so lucky as to get that kind of send-off, some day.

21. This is simply your fascist government at work.
In today's Fascist America it really doesn't matter what is said or by whom. The only thing that matters is how it all is explained to the Good Citizens. The Good Citizens didn't care anything at all about Mrs. King when she was alive and they care even less now that she is dead. Some people spoke at her funeral; is there anything about that that should concern Good Citizens? The government media comes out quickly to tell the Good Citizens what the truth really is about all of that. Now the Good Citizens can go back about their business of supporting the Great Leader and being afraid of the Great Enemy. Everything else is just tee vee...

23. Let's put it in perspective
Edited on Wed Feb-08-06 10:39 AM by HootieMcBoob
People wonder why Bush might have been uncomfortable at yesterday's funeral. Well there is a big reason why the Democratic party gets about 98% of the black vote. The following illustration, of course isn't the only or even the main reason, but it's indicitive of the much larger picture.

Bush’s choice for Vice President, while he was a member of congress, voted to keep Nelson Mandela imprisoned by the apartheid government of South Africa. The person who’s judgment he relies on most thought that Nelson Mandela was a terrorist and Saddam Hussein was an ally.

Until the Dems have one voice that calls bullshit on this system, we better just get used to it.

And I call bullshit on that.

That stupid remark by *41 (i.e Episcopalians don't do it this way, or some such nonsense) was the icing on the cake. It showed his ignorance of the whole black Baptist church community. Maybe if he had once attended an MLK day service in one he would have known a little bit more about that segment of our society.

37. Like Steve Gillard says..
I don't care what they think!!

snip~

"Let me put this simply: Kate O'Beirne needs to shut her filthy mouth.

When black people were dying in New Orleans, they called us everything but a child of God. We were animals, looters, out of control.

Not one of these people said this was a lie, a slander. Jonah Goldberg laughed at the idea of people drowning in the Superbowl. They cheered the idea of black people being shot in the streets. They said we were too stupid to leave the city when they had no cars and no money

While Bush sat on his hands.

So now, these filthy vermin want to give us lectures . They can eat their lectures.

We don't care what they think. They may have their lackies, and they best keep their mouths shut about this, but 98 percent of blacks have no use for the GOP."

THis guy talks like we do..I think I love him..

at nauseum???
you got that shoved down your throat for days on end ..even if you could give a rats rear end and you were not catholic...you got the religious furvor for days on end...

so the pope dies...

pope funeral= religious funeral...oh mercy me..well no shit!

reagan's funeral= political funeral...got me there too...whoa...bad political behaviour naughty repubs...( well actually it could be described as religious..as the retugs thought he was fucking god!) we even got to watch Nancy put her head on the coffin..in the sunset of calif..and she with all her anguish..did she deserve no privacy..i thought that was repugnant..where was the families dignity..to bury their man ..in their final farwell..i thought that was sickening beyond the scope of decency..but hell that wasn't political was it...*hes panties were in a knot for something so they played it for all it was worth..

Coretta King funeral= no mention of politics?? what are they kidding???????????

what fucking drugs are they on?? i want some!
what i heard over and over yesterday was that this woman stood in the face of politics and fought for peace in our time..she fought incredible odds...and yet even today after a life long fight of politicians and political climate after making the greatest sacrifice a wife can endure..the loss of the father of her children..her life partner.....we are once again faced with the same fight a lifetime of devotion did not erase..with the current regime of * in our white house...

so the media with roves talking points want to make this womans passing about politics...

well start with the fucking moron in our white house..the saying is..if you can't take the heat get out of the fucking kitchen..

what did ole rove and *shy boy expect..??

a love fest for all the destruction he has done to the poor of this nation...leaving thousands stranded to starve and die after Katrina..of which the world watched in horror?? from an imbicile who thought golfing and birthday parties and playing guitar were more important that to rescue thousands upon thousands of stranded and drowning people?? and now kicking them out of hotels and making them homeless , all the while spending tax payers dollars on an illegal war of aggression costing $100,000 per minute in a country most in this country would have a hard time finding on a map?

oh i know..*shy boy only has pre screened audiences..and his little dick gets all knoted up when anyone calls him on his malfeasance..and criminal activity...and shows the world that the polls have it all wrong ..that Americans ( ah the audacity) do not favor what that fucker in our white house is doing nor do they accept blindly the little fucker..and what he has done to world peace ..in the face of one of the most peaceful women of our times funeral..

well i say its about time ..we all put our money where our mouths are..shut these fuckers in the media down..turn them off and keep them off...do not allow them to get ratings from you..let their advertizers know you will not drink from their Kool-aide punch bowl...

the only way we can gain our media back and get our control back as a nation is to shut them down..with our remote and our purse strings...do we have the fortitude to do it?? i just wonder..will we take Coretta's lead..will we really stand for what we believe or are we all talk no action...

just imagine our power if we shut this media down..

now the * regime is trying to shut this medium down ..with charging for large emailing to political groups..what are we really willing to do..will we stand together or just keep bitching??

just imagine if we all turned tweety off for a week...or two weeks...with no audience ..he is out of business...before too long he is a wanna be...

i for one put fox on child block almost 3 years ago..6 months ago..cnn joined fox in my household...
i love keith olberman..but if i must make a stand against ,msnbc..i will do so..i have not watched tweety in months..and ya know what..he is no longer an aggrivation to me..but he will not get advertiser time in my home...

shut em down..we can and must do this...if we are to follow a great lady's lead...

we must now stand for something...and we are stronger together than apart...

44. earth to Rove: the world does NOT revolve around bush- and
the funeral was for CORETTA SCOTT KING- not the boy who would be king.

It wasn't about him, and as distressing as that may be- he'll have to live with it- and so will anyone who was offended.

He didn't even know her- IF- his being there was as a sign of respect, then it should have included a closed mouth, and being able to sit still with out making unacceptable facial expressions when he felt uncomfortable. If he can't control himself during a funeral, then no wonder he can't control himself in office-

He is a sad excuse for a leader-
