I posted this:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2444533&mesg_id=2444533in which I said the Demorcratic party should have apologized for having authorized the war, and, moreover, Kerry, Edwards, Gephardt and Lieberman had no business running for the presidency having done so--at least without at least saying that they're sorry and have learned from their mistake...although I'd still say that a true man of character would concede that such a mistake should disqualify anyone for being President, let alone continue to be a senatory.
So what kind of responses did I get? aside from those who backed me up, the rest either chided me for not already being aware that several of those senators have already apologized (albeit AFTER the election, and it wasn't the entire Democratic Party in official capacity), and the others chided me because they didn't think an apology was required since the vote was based on faulty intelligence (despite Kucinich and Dean knowing better with same intelligence and the Supreme Allied Commander having told them not to vote yes unless the bill MANDATED Bush come back to Congress.
so thanks for proving that, not withstanding this party looks like Socrates and Mother Theresa combined compared to Repubs, there's some serious incontinuity on the most critical issue of our time. ....and we wonder why Repubs can get so much traction when accusing Dems of being wishy washy.
ALL HAIL PRESIDENT TUSH!
