Roy Moore Is Getting Blasted In The AL Gov Race |
|
Losing to our stronger contender by 11% and the weaker one by 6%. Looks like Roy Moore won't be taking over the Governorship of Alabama... Check it out: http://rasmussenreports.com/2006/State%20Polls/January%202006/Alabama%20Governor%20January.htm

2. Diebold wouldn't side with him |
|
Believe it or not, he is actually very good on most fiscal issues as far as consumer rights go. He is insane on social issues, but very consumer friendly outside of those 2-3 hotbutton issues. When he was Chief Justice here in AL, he basically voted like a Democrat.
The ivory tower Repukes won't support him. They'll go w/ Riley, who also isn't all that bad himself... I'll put it this way, Riley is 10,000 times better than Sen Sessions.

3. Too bad. I was hoping his colossal ego would cause him to |
|
start his own party of the saved and run for president, thus splitting the nutcase vote in 2008.
It was too much to hope for, I guess, that even Alabama would elect that idiot to anything serious. They aren't as dumb as their AM radio makes them sound.

5. Thinking the same thing... |
|
There was talk about him running under the banner of the Constitution Party in '04 thus cutting into the fundy vote. I tend to think that he backed out b/c he wanted to run for Gov and actually thought he had a chance at winning.
Now, after he loses in the GOP Primary, I think he'll run for Prez in the Constitution Party and really cut into the Repub's vote total in the South... especially if they nominate someone like Rice, McCain, or Giuliani.

6% defeat back in 1996. Now, I'm not sure that the sheep of AL would dump Sessions if he was caught with a young boy.
