Does anyone know if it was usual for Reno to be sworn in? |
|
I'm just curious...anyone out there know of examples of past AG's being sworn in before congressional hearings?
See, here is one where the Dems could make points - they could say to clean up Washington, if they are put back in power, EVERY witness will be sworn in under oath. No more of this wink and a nod....

1. Reno was routinely sworn-in by Repug chairmen. |
|
Gonzo was actually sworn in his last two times - but not this one...Hmmm.

2. Everybody is sworn-in in order to give testimony . . . |
|
again, that's EVERYBODY! Recently, in the past few months, the Republicans have allowed some who appear before congress to give verbal and written statements without asserting that they are telling the truth. BTW, it's not considered "testimony" unless it's under oath or affirmation, period.

Gonzales can still be held accountable! But why would he want to swear he's telling the truth? He and you and I already know that he's lying thru his teeth! Did you see how he smirked with his non-answers?? This is an election year!! WooHoo! Let's vote his supporters OUT! and then vote a dem into the WH in '08!!
