What Radical Muslims don't get...
It's OK to expect respect for Allah and Mohamed in the Muslim world. When you venture outside -- you are in different world.

This new world doesn't recognize absolute Islams doctrine any more than it recognizes absolute Bush doctrine (If you're not with me - You're against me)

1. Sex?
Sorry, just could not pass that up.

I am with you on this one. This thread is far from unique. I responded to this kind of question here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=103&topic_id=189831&mesg_id=189872 They really need to just "deal with it".

2. Yes and that is the problem.
They do not think, they do not reason. The belief in their mythology is absolute.

5. Respectfully - not a fair statement, unless you agree that...
The radical Muslims are like the base of any other fundamentalist religious movement (including the one which holds power in all three branches of our government).

Ditto-heads -- "They do not think, they do not reason. The belief in their mythology is absolute."

7. I do agree with that.
Except I don't really believe the Neo-Cons are religious. The Dittoheads are for the most part and that's what the Neo-Cons play off of. Chimp and his crew are about as religious as Pat Robertson, it's all an act. They just pander to the fundies to make them vote in their favor and give them money.

3. I think that applies to ALL radical religious people.
Except perhaps buddhists. I mean seriously, has anybody here ever met an angry buddhist? :)

4. It's not just muslims though...
Jews in Europe get special treatment and rightly so given the history. And for example Sikhs in the UK get special treatment in some instances and are allowed to wear a turban instead of a crash helmet when on a motorbike or instead of a police helmet.

There's always going to be a bit of give and take in a plural society.
