15. Dem vet candidates rally in DC w/ Kerry, Clark, Cleland.
Not that broadcast media would cover any rally where Dems showing they understand military. BushInc has forbidden news coverage of those Dem events.

24. So good to see those three working together again!
There was actually a little converage of the earlier day's event on Faux News between 6:00pm and 6:30pm---part of that
Brit Hume thing, only Chris Wallace was filling in. It was pretty good, believe or not. They interviewed several of the "fighting dem vets" and showed them assembled outside, and mentioned that many did not support the war, but ALL agree that it had been greatly mishandled.

Other than that, yep, I agree there was a black-out. I'm still hoping that something will be mentioned on tonight's news.

18. Steph said that she's in love with him, and she has to watch out for Gert
Edited on Thu Feb-09-06 11:12 AM by FrenchieCat
Stating that she's been doing the Catholic Girl's prayer hoping he runs in 2008.

They talked about the Congressional California Rally they both attended over the weekend, as Clark stumped for our Democrats running.

Clark talked about Iraq, and how if we can get the Shias into the Iraqi government, we can maybe come out of there with a C- instead of an F....which is what it will be if we just run out of there at this point. That since we stuck our foot in Iraq and distabilized it, we have to at least leave it with a government that includes a portion that can act as a counterweight to the theocrathical(sp?) Iranian influence that is clearly within the government as we speak. That although some may only think about the immediate Iraqi situation, the entire region has to be kept in mind because we, in essence have distabilized it all.

Steph asked how he could keep a straight face and not blink when he appears on Fox....In particular, when he's on Hannity. He said that he drinks a coca cola or Hot chocolate before going on.

He also talked about the fact that he's not said he wasn't running for Prez, which is what Steph kept asking him about.

He talked about the great Veteran congressional candidates we have running all over the country, and the fact that he is working on 2006. He mentioned the Veterans that he has met that are running, and how smart and dynamic the 40 that he met last night are. He talked a little bit more about last night's function, but ran out of time.

Steph asked that many were really hoping that he would run for Prez, because the country needs him.

29. I don't like him either, probably for the same reasons you don't.
and I am hardly a freeper. Clark supporters are pretty "intense" here at DU so get used to getting severely attacked and condescended to if you jump in on these Clarkie lovefest threads with critical comments.

31. Why jump into a Clarkie Lovefest thread to make a critical comment?
Because you can.

The problem with you, jonnyblitz, as well as with your newfound friend is that spewing a "Hating" one liner in anotherwise positive thread does not result in constructive contribution (either positive or negative) to the discussion in any shape or form. It is exactly what Freepers do...call names, make derogatory statements just willy nilly just cause they can. So in my book, Freeping is much more than being a Right winger....it's spewing hate without providing anything more.

You AND your friend remind me of a car full of teenagers that passes by on the freeway....the window rolls down, and a hand comes out of the window flashing a "fuck you" finger sign. Everyone in the car giggles and the car speeds on by. It's childish and serves no purpose but to irritate the intended target. That's what you do, and saying that it's anymore is giving yourself way more credit than you deserve.

The poster, who is soooo knowledgeable as to who kisses asses and who doesn't better than the rest of us, as far as he's concerned, said he wants to get out of Iraq now. As an adult, I would normally want to ask him why? But in this case, I understand already that there can't be no reasonable discourse, because of his initial approach resembling that of the teenager in the car.

Maybe if The "Haters" would just have something more to contribute besides "I hate him", or "He kisses ass"....maybe then there could be a conversation.

Hate for the sake of hate doesn't mean or doesn't do "jack shit"....if you didn't already know that.

30. And?
If posturing means that he's traveling non stop, speaking truth to the ignorant who vote, and raising money for Democrats all over the country to win in 2006....I think I like that kinda of posturing......

Better than commenting on how others are kissing ass, and talking shit while doing nothing but writing one line negativity on a message board about someone who doesn't know him/her from Adam.

32. When talking to children, it is important to remember that they
see things how they want to see them....and standing on your head is not going to make them see things any differently!

They are not interested in giving you any reasoning behind their thoughts as much as making an "effect" and feeling they know all there is to know about all there is.

33. Audio of interview is up on Stephanie's site
www.stephaniemiller.com

accompanied by this blurb...."The often imitated, never duplicated, General Wesley Clark joined us on the show today, and Stephanie is still panting. We can't even calm her down enough to take her daily dose of BITS!"

Very cute interview...She was literally begging him to run in '08.....I hope he's soon on again.

Too funny when she asked him how he keeps a straight face when Hannity "explains" military strategy to him -- I've often wondered the same thing!
