New framing idea for Plamegate ties-in to Mission: Impossible III |
|
With the movie Mission: Impossible III due out any now, I thought it might be worthwhile to frame the Valerie Plame issue in terms easily understood by those who think this movie is "wicked awesome, man!"
Remember the original Mission: Impossible movie?
In the first movie, the McGuffiin that everyone was trying to get their hands on was "The NOC List." The list of agents operating under "Non-Official Cover."
That was what the movies was all about. Stealing "The NOC List" of secret agents and protecting it from the Body Thetans or whoever.
Remember the high-tech room with the pressure sensitive floors, lasers, and heat-sensitive devices that can detect the faintest trace of wayward Scientologists hanging from the ceiling?
Valerie Plame was an agent operating under Non-Official Cover. Valerie Plame was on the real-life NOC List!
Dick Cheney ordered G. Scooter Libby to pluck Valerie Plame's name out of the NOC List computer and hand it to the media without so much as having to sneak through a ventilator shaft.
Although maybe he did sneak through the ventilator shaft. Could that be why he's on crutches?
(No, I didn't "confuse" Scooter with G. Gordon Liddy. That "mistake" was intentional).

1. That provides a certain perspective for the politically oblivious. |

Valerie Plame was on the NOC list, you know, the one the bad guys were trying to get in Mission Impossible.
It certainly works for me. And it might even get through some of the kool aid effect so many people seem to be suffering from.
