It's obvious Reid and Abramoff are in cohoots. A=B, B=C, A=C
I mean, Reid got money from tribes, tribes got money from Abramoff so therefore Reid is in cohoots with Abramoff. A=B, B=C, therefore A=C
That is the MSM (Lou Dobbs) line of inquiry. Under this spurious reasoning I give you the hypothetical:
You live next door and are friends with 'Family A'. 'Family A's' son (you met two times in your life and he hates you), who lives 1000 miles away turns out to be a mass murderer. Therefore, since you live next door to and are friends with 'Family A' you must be in cohoots with that mass murderer. A=B, B=C, therefore A=C.

2. The media desperately wants both party's involved so they can report this
story without seeming like they are just picking on Republicans, that's what this is all about.

I can kind of understand why they do this when I see all the flack they get from both sides, no matter how hard they try to be fair. If they only saw tihngs DU's way, we would love it, but then they would lose all credibility, IE Faux "News".

Bottom line - Republicans and Republicans only are going down in Abramoff case.

They may snag a Dem or two on similar issues, but this is a Republican scandal, always has been, always will be.

3. Reid represents the people who live in Nevada
There are a lot of Indian tribes in Nevada. Reid represent these tribes. He didn't represent them because Abramoff gave them money.

4. It's a 'Pubbie scandal not because . . .
Edited on Thu Feb-09-06 06:46 PM by MrModerate
Dems are angels (although we're on their side), but because Abramoff is an operative of the 'Lican party.

Without one-party rule and the Bush "we've got the power, you've got the money, let's talk" approach to governance, Abramoff would be a run-of-the-mill putz trying to phagocytocize piles of money through hyperactive sliming. But since '94, the pubbies have believed that Dems don't matter and can just be blown off. The only game in town was a 'Pubbie game.

Sad to say, if there have been a way to spread it around across party lines, you'd probably see a lot more dem-directed indictments pending.

9. Reid took LEGAL money from Jackoff's VICTIMS...
Edited on Thu Feb-09-06 07:23 PM by ClassWarrior
Jackoff STOLE money from the tribes, LAUNDERED it through fake charities, and FUNNELED IT TO THE GOP.

You can't tell me Jackoff is stupid enough to risk prison by STEALING money and LAUNDERING it - only to funnel it to both sides!! What the hell good would THAT do him?

NGU.
