The lie that couldn't fly....

I posted earlier that the "L A bomb plot was on the face of it fraudulent,let me recap briefly: The original plot was supposedly 4 teams, on 4 aircraft, targeting 4 targets, in 2 cities and departing from 2 airports....all of this within a tight time frame to maximize the chances of success...again a unique, complex, plan utilizing unheard of weapons (box cutters) to achieve a unique act (suicide by airplane)....and then as a sequel the same mastermind decides to attack with 1 airplane, against 1 target, using the same old technique...Bit of an underachiever,this time,what?But it wasn't until later during the Countdown show another abnormality became clear.Bush stated they learned that this plot in October of 2001 was intending to use "SHOE BOMBERS".Well that begs the question of WHY....the mastermind introduces not one wrinkle to the old plan other than changing the weapon AND scales back the plot to 25 percent of the first attack,and while I and others speculated on using these bombs to blow off reinforced cockpit doors I DOUBT THIS WAS DISCUSSED-NEVER MIND IMPLEMENTED IN OCTOBER OF 2001...in fact if this was even under discussion then,the plans may have included separate cockpit entry with NO cabin access or reinforcement to the point that blowing doors off would also destroy the airframe...a lot of stuff was kicked around...in short,while an undetectable weapon was desirable,the "mastermind' showed no other innovation,which seems strange,or realizing the cockpits would be reinforced he hoped they could blow them off without fatal damage, or the passengers objecting to a death sentence...after 9-11 any passenger surviving the initial blast would rip your jugular from your throat with his teeth before you got to open the remnants of the cockpit door...either way it is prima fascia a lie

2. Exactly...

While shoe bombs were "undetectable" until Reid,at the time mentioned (10-2001) they had no specific USE...and would in fact be nearly useless in a highjacking...no passenger would allow them to try to force a cockpit and a bomb in your shoes is going to sting a HELL of a lot more for you than for me...every time you parse this it screams hoax or lie...

Are the perpetrators dead?

no, Are they in custody?

no, Do you have ANY proof of this plot?

no, So based on your say so, and admitedly you have lied to us before, why should we believe you?

Mr. President, I believe that a visit to a shrink may be in order if you are starting to believe there are plots against you which cannot be shown as facts.

6. Here's a plausible theory.

Sometime, somewhere, a captive in a secret, foreign prison being waterboarded and generally tortured says whatever his interrogaters lead him to say.

One implausible story is thusly elicited after the "shoe bomber" was captured. The story is quickly dismissed because it has no details and makes no sense.

Time passes.

Hey, we need something to claim we stopped the terrorists somewhere somehow, how about that bogus shoe story? And we'll accidently on purpose call it the "Liberty" building, and we'll then be able to use that shot from INDEPENDENCE DAY! Get it?! A president who can fly fighter jets? Saving the day from a global threat? It's a big winner! Yeah, that's the ticket!
