I called my NJ senators about * hiding SS privitization in the budget |
|
In a way it's no fun - they already know and they both are planning to strongly speak out against many parts of the budget, including, of course, SS privitization.
But both offices were very nice and Menendez's receptionist even said that it was great to hear from people from all over NJ. As a new senator, she said, he could really use the support from home. So if any are so inclined, call him, welcome him to the senate, and feel free to express your opinion on the budget and on Social Security.

1. Thanks for posting this - I will call |
|
He really seems to be doing a great job. You would think his sense of the Senate amendment on the Alternative Minimum Tax should help him. It was great that the leadership made him the point man on this. (It was nice that Summer and Kerry were Finance committee members who spoke in favor of it and him.)
His office took name and address information when I called on the Alito nomination - that list could be really useful soon.

3. How about reposting this in the New Jersey forum |
|
I think it would stay up longer there. Good luck. Wish I felt like a call to one of my Senators would do any good.
