Laura says Hillary should show "empathy"??
Laura may ACT non-political, but believe us in Texas....she is anything but! And behind that smile that looks like Jack Nicholson as the Joker in the Batman movie, is a woman that is just as questionable as her crooked husband is!! Empathy? Any person of intelligence can see that you can't empathize with a sociopath!!

First lady calls Clinton's criticism 'out of bounds'

Saturday, February 11, 2006; Posted: 10:19 p.m. EST (03:19 GMT)

TURIN, Italy (AP) -- Laura Bush said Saturday that Hillary Rodham Clinton's criticism of her husband's administration was "out of bounds," arguing that the former first lady should show some empathy for the current White House occupants.

Leading the U.S. delegation at the Winter Olympics in Turin, the first lady talked about a range of subjects, from the violent protests across the Muslim world over caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed to the quality of the U.S. Olympic team. She was interviewed by ABC and CBS.

Clinton, the New York senator and a potential Democratic presidential candidate in 2008, has called the Bush administration "one of the worst" in history. In the interview with ABC News, Mrs. Bush was asked if Clinton's comments were "just politics, fair game or out of bounds."

"Of course I think it's out of bounds," the first lady said. "But I think it's politics, it's certainly politics."

Bush pointed out that former Presidents Bush and Clinton and her husband are part of a unique club that also includes the wives.

"We know what it's like to live in that house. We certainly know what it's like to have your husband criticized," she said. "So I think there's a certain empathy that we might have for each other that we wouldn't have maybe for somebody else who said something like that."

1. Pssssssssssssst
Laura! When George leaves the White House and you get elected senator, feel free to criticize the President. That would be part of the job.........

7. Frankly,
Laura has that "Children of the Corn" look 24/7. Its beyond creepy. That said, Hillary looked like she was sucking lemons at the SOTU. Bill would have suaved the shit out of GWB's "favorite person" shtick. Recognize that, when the Repubs get traction, its TOO often because WE left it out.

9. ahhhh the proverbial rock and a hard place maneuver
Pickles says Hillary should show empathy. This implies Hillary is unsympathic, hard, cold and uncaring.

Ok - assume Hillary show's some empathy which meshes with Pickles's definition of empathy

Why then Hillary would be unsuitable for any public office because she's tooooo emotional, ruled by hormones, reacting from the heart instead of the head

Wonder if Rove coached Pickles on that line?

11. Yeah, so far the Rove paintbrush has classified Hillary as
unsympathetic, hard, cold and uncaring as you said along with being hysterical (insert hormonal, insert women are not capable of governing)

Look for it to get MUCH worse.

12. oopsie - forgot about being "tooooo angry"
questions:

1. when does the wishy-washy flip-flop characterization start?

2. What about the swift-boating ala Cookie Moms?
For those too young or had forgotten - during Bill's campaign back in 1992, Hillary made the comment that she doesn't bake cookies. This set off a field day for repugs to all of a sudden get concerned about stay-at-home moms who bake cookies.

just an off the wall thought - in the unlikely event that 2008 campaign is Hillary Clinton VS Condi Rice -- would this be the battle of the hormones? My hormones can beat up your hormones?

....cause, even though he was actually an understudy to Donald Segretti and trained aa a "ratfucker" which he continues to use, he IS the only one in the WH that isn't a TOTAL politcal HACK!

15. Laura the Librarian should look up the concept of "opposition party"
As well as read a few history books. On what issues, precisely, does Mrs. Bush disagree with the characterization that her husband's corrupt administration is one of the worst in history? Most civilian deaths from a hostile attack? I think Chimp-son-of-Wimp is far and away the leader in that category. Biggest deficits? Bush wins again! Greatest expansion of the national debt? Chimpy McCokespoon again. Violations of the constitution? Yep, Bushy again.

19. Didn't Laura kill someone with her car when she was younger?
We should just use that against her any time she says anything. I know it's childish. It's sort of like the tactic Monty Burns' lawyer would use, "ladies and gentlemen of the jury, who are you going to believe? This woman once killed a man with her car!"

23. Yes. You can look up the details.
But let's just consider poor Laura a sad enabler. She's really not relevant--but she is one of Bushie's "defenders"--like his Mom & Pop.

33. Oh, and after the tremendous
outpouring of empathy toward Hillary and Chelsea when conservatives were savaging Clinton, how COULD Hillary forget! Don't you all remember the torrent of love and support given by conservatives toward the Clinton family? How can we forget all of the sympathy, empathy, and Christian understanding shown to them? I can't blame Pickles for being bitter...after all she and the conservatives did for us, well....:sarcasm: :sarcasm:
