TAXES: the issue Dems are ignoring at their own peril.

1. Huge tax breaks for wealthiest Americans, corporations, pharmeceutical companies, and oil companies. All while working Americans are paying more for everything, medicines, energy, and losing even more ground to cuts in education assistance, Medicare, SS, and Medicaid.

2. User fees, just another name for new taxes for middle income families.

3. Loss of huge tax deductions in credit interest, and medical care. At one time taxpayers could write of the interest from loans and credit cards, gasoline, and sales taxes. And the deduction for medical expenses was cut in half. All of this took place beginning with the Reagan administration and has been worsended under every Republican administration since.

4. The write off for childcare has been reduced, and so has writeoffs for work expenses.

5. The wealthiest can take deductions for gas-guzzling yachts, motor homes, and SUVs.

6. Bank user fees are usuary in nature, yet none of these can be taken as a deduction for the working person.

There are probably several more but I can't think straight I am so angry. What the hell are our Dems doing for us?
