Poll question: Who Do You Really Think Will Run On The repug Ticket In 2008? |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-12-06 08:29 AM by Dinger
It seems that the repugs and media are putting forth Hillary for the Dems, but I really don't see the Dems or media doing this for the pugs, like (they) are the Dems. Just seems weird. I dunno, anyway, here are my guesses:

He'll run...and get the nomination. Come on...Frist, Hagel, etc, doesn't stand a chance against Jeb Bush.

When you have the capability to manipulate election results, you will. The BushCo crime machine cannot afford to have anyone other than a "Bush" at the helm.

5. McCain will emerge, bruised, from hard-fought primaries. |
|
Hagel is a compelling second in New Hampshire, Allen a disappointing third.
McCain's veep choice? Beats me. Maybe Lindsay Graham, Allen?
A McCain-led ticket for the GOP would return New Hampshire and Wisconsin to the Republicans. At least those two. It would put Ohio out of reach.
This is why I would vote for Sen. Clinton against McCain but oppose her for the nomination. The votes aren't there in the states we need to win the electoral college if she leads the ticket.

main lock to the regime is vote fraud, the teflon issue really judging from the unwillingness of the DNC to donfront the entire issue head on AND its large success so far with HAVA forcing most of the count into Diebold and ES&S hands. This open crime IS his biggest liability and his certain hope of success allied to incredible media hypocrisy of course. And, of course, his veteran status will not be smeared and instead extolled over war heroes who were maned because they were Dems.
I think being outside the mainstream taint could do it for him if the Bush dynasty can keep its claws directly off the fiasco to come or others can muscle their way in. So corupt is the party that it looks more like a royal internecine thug war. The Bush regime is the kingmaker and the holder of blackmail and control. If not Hegel then someone not tainted with corruption, not Guiliani, not free from influence by the GOP machine. Or maybe they can keep McCain groveling long enough to pull the rug out of a collapsing presidency, entrapping bi-partisan smug Dems in the fall.

12. Rudy Giuliani is the frontrunner |
|
McCain is 2nd, but Rudy G has the stamp of approval from the religious reich (google Pat Robertson Rudy Guiliani)
Since Rudy is a Republican, he can call his messy divorce a "youthful indiscretion"

He's exactly the sort of "true conservative" that would appeal to the "base"...and there's no bleeding-heart, girly-man nonsense about *him*...he won't permit anything to interfere in the War on Terror...the fact he wasn't born a US citizen is irrelevant--no one gives a damn about the wording of the Constitution anyway, and in the white heat of the emergency situation, the Repubs won't let a little detail like that stop them... Pinochet in 2008? The Repubs, the MSM, and the people will be ready and willing by then...
