Pat Roberts Just Pulled out memory pills on Meet The Press. LOL!!!
Edited on Sun Feb-12-06 12:03 PM by AndrewJacksonFaction

What a shill this guy is. I can't believe he actually had a prop on there.

Explanation: He was asked by Russert "why not go to congress to make the domestic spying program legal? What is the reluctance?". Then old Pat says "I think They d..........,.... I don't know,..., This....., Look I have got some memory pills here(shakes bottle of vitamins), I think everyone here should take a memory pill, on the recollection, cause that is not my recollection......" then he goes on a stuttering blustering tirade. What a joke. We should use the fact that Ole' Pat Roberts is on memory pills, which would make him unfit for sitting on the intelligence chair spot. And since the modern pubs are the party of lockstep they would never change so he should be taken out at the ballot box. Then if he says they were just a prop well then he uses props when he lies because no ones memory or facts jive with Ole' Pat.

23. Not yet. When he is up, Kansans better get a clue....
maybe he will do like Brownback, not show up for debates with the other candidates on PBS (prior plans excuses), then run his 'daddy' Sen. Sam 'ham' ads at the last minute avoiding any issues. The dems need to get some money in this state.

emotional downfall after his very early career setback.

He was the odds-on favorite to have the Mr. Whipple role in tv commercials -- the guy who squeezes toilet paper in those ads -- but was dumped at the last minute for reasons still not fully disclosed.

It's been all downhill since then.

Now he's a raving lunatic on the Far Right, a witless supplicant to Bush, a pathetic excuse for a sentient being.

7. Well, if Roberts has been taking them, and delusion is a side effect...
that explains a lot.
What a hokey act.
Doesn't he know how badly these little gimmicks play?
He should look it up -- it's under, "Lazio, Ricky -- N.Y. Senate debate with Hillary Clinton"

10. Roberts pulled out a plastic pill container
and offered the "memory bills" to former Senator Tom Daschle and Jane Harmon.
He said people should take the bills, in an effort to suggest that they have faulty memories because they don't recall fully supporting Bush's plan to spy without warrants.

and every time mr. timmie brought something up that made the repugs look bad. the repugs would grab the conversation and rebuttal their points. I just wish dems would stop letting repugs corner them with those bullshit arguments that if you speak up you're angry.

I'd have poured those "pills" down Robert's throat.

24. That student should have hauled out some 'memory pills'
for Bush and Roberts at K-State when asked about the student grants and loans being cut....since they acted like they never heard of it before or forgot.

Don't do anything at all.

Go ask Roberts . . . when he's ten feet tall . . .

Perhaps he should stock up on some of those before the Abramhoff hearings. I know Bush needs some. There's an alarming epidemic of "memory hole" syndrome in D.C. these days.

18. Memories
I was wondering if Senator Roberts had those at his elbow because he is suffering from Alzheimer's, or Dementia and if he might need a leave of absence to deal with his mental problems caused by stress, mild stroke or just old age. I cannot imagine why he would let the public know of his disturbing loss of mental capacities.

And what's worse, is that Daschle just sat there.

How conveniet NOBODY brought up the fact that that asswipe roberts UNILATERALLY INSERTED into the 911 report an UNAPPROVED, or more clearly - a statement THAT WAS SPECIFICALLY DISAPPROVED - that said that there was no evidence that bunkerboy did anything wrong during 911 and the rush to war or something equivalent. NOTHING. And then they use THIS ILLEGAL crap as proof that "everybody agrees with us" crap.

WE NEED AN OPPOSITION PARTY!

Edited on Sun Feb-12-06 01:36 PM by okieinpain
needs more of a response then you sitting there shaking your head "no"... Daschle should have cut in just like roberts did and called him on those lies. To harman's credit she did tell him no one time, but they allowed him and the other repug to direct the flow of the show. Dems have got to get their shit together and soon.....

29. And why Daschle?
He isn't even in office anymore! Why the hell was HE on? As much as I loathe Joe Biden and Joe Lieberman, I would much rather have seen one of them sitting there next to Roberts than a Senator who lost his re-election.
