Don't read this. Don't watch the video clips.

(I posted this before I read the forums here. I think we should rename this place to the anti-Democratic party underground. Just kidding, I think. I would not have bothered to post if I had read things here first.)

So don't read this if you don't care about the on the ground work going on. Because that is what it is about. It takes time, money, and effort. I am on board with all three. Not a popular thing to do or be here anymore, but that never bothered me.

After you hear this first group of state chairs, watch for more. Then think how badly this on the ground structure has been needed, 50 states, not 18, not any more.

They are speaking of what the 50 state strategy is doing for their state. Tim is just getting these posted now. More to come.

"A number of the state chairs, executive directors, and other staff are in D.C. for the weekend participating in various discussions and trainings. In fact, this morning at around 10:30 A.M., Joe Rospars and I are slated to give instruction on online organizing--something many of the statewide leaders have expressed a tremendous amount of interest in already this weekend."

One year ago today, Governor Dean was elected Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Since that day, priority number one has been building organization in each of the fifty states and multiple U.S. teritories. Over the course of the next few days, we will have video clips for you from various state party chairs talking about how the new organizational structure has had an impact in their backyard, a message from Governor Dean to you in the grassroots who make these success stories possible, and other assorted goodies."

"Keelan Sanders from the Mississippi Democratic Party talking about the state partnership program and some of the advances they have made over the past year."

State chairs from Maine and Alaska speak on how their states are benefitting.

"We Still Have Governor Dean's Back
On February 12, 2005, Governor Howard Dean became chair of the Democratic National Committee and set the party on a path to stand up for our shared values and fight everywhere. You can show your support by helping ensure that the Party has the resources it needs to carry out Governor Dean's vision"

4. Not really, because crying "impeach" or whatever..
takes less effort and makes more noise.

6. Something else new is going on...statement from FTN this AM
DEAN: "We've for the first time in a long time had mayors, governors, the Congress and the House and the DNC all sitting at the same table. We think this is a real agenda for change."

I do, too.

"As I mentioned earlier, a good number of state party officers from across the country descended on Washington, D.C. this weekend for various trainings and discussion; here are two more video clips. The first is Governor Dean detailing some of the success stories from the 2005 election cycle. It wasn't just the high-profile victories of Governors Kaine and Corzine that we should be excited about, but a number of victories by Democrats in local races where we haven't won in quite a long time. The second clip is Arksansas Democratic Party Chairman Jason Willett discussing what the fifty state strategy has meant in his backyard."
