I notice there are hearings on both C-SPAN I and II ? What are they up to? Is this a scheduled vacation day?

3. Perhaps the airports have been closed due to the snowstorm
and people have not been able to get to DC.

4. Could be
We here in Tn had some snow earlier this morning. Still some fluries here and there but we can still get places. I'm sure it's much worse up in DC.

6. It's Monday
A travel day for them. They start their work week on Tuesday and end it on Thursday so they travel back home again. We should all have jobs like that.

8. Uhh, they finished their work for the year?
After all, Alito's on the Supreme Court, Terri Schiavo is still dead, and Chimpy's now the entire government. What's left for them to do?

9. Maybe that emergency "shut-down" of Senate last week...was really a
'warning'...a Karl Rove "arm-twisting" that until Dem reps "learn" how to better behave, they'll be forced to sit-in-the-corner.
