Food for thought: Will we see another war resolution in October (Iran)?
Given all the recent talk about Iran, I wonder if Republicans will attempt to hold Democrat's feet to the fire, politically, with another resolution stunt in the October before midterm elections.

What do you think? If so, what do you believe Democrats should do in such a situation? Will this be another case of "damned if you do, damned if you don't?"

1. It Would Be A Cluster-F$%k
Good point - I can't even imagine the mayhem that would ensue. However, I don't think a declaration of war would result - everyone's way to wary of BushCo for that. I hope.

3. They don't need another resolution
They'll use the same one they use to justify invading Iraq.

Yes they will, and yes, we're damned if we do and damned if we don't.
They pull the same shit every time and it always works. :grr:

6. will they even wait until Oct.?
The purported oil bourse starts in March, trading oil in Euros. That is what they stopped by attacking Iraq- oil trading in Euros, not dollars. Will BushCo wait for the bourse to get up and running or will they concoct a reason to preempt the beginning of the bourse? I don't know, but enjoy life now, cherish every day. Things may get ugly come mid-March.

7. No, Bush will claim that the IWR and the 9-11 resolution gives him
all the authority he needs to wage war against anyone he chooses.

Congress will roll over and play dead for Bush, again!

8. Indeed we will. The song remains the same.
War resolution coming, preceded by lots of Iran-AQ connections, and Iran undermining rebuilding of Iraq, yada yada yada.

9. Yup, just in time for the '06 elections!
DU'ers know that it is a political stunt to perpetuate the fear mongering to keep the electorate in line. The problem is that half the American public is too stupid to see that smoke is being blown up their collective ass!
