Possibly stupid questions about 2000 DNC in LA |
|
I own Rage Against the Machine's live DVD at the Grand Olympic Auditorium. One of the bonus videos is Rage playing outside the Dem National Convention in LA. First question, who puts on a concert for protesters? Isn't a RATM concert at a protest a sure fire way to incite a riot? This confuses me on a logical level. Second, in this part of the video the regularly show a building in LA that appears to have a mural with RFK, MLK and FDR on it. It's beautiful. What is this building? Is that mural always there or was it just up for the DNC? Thanks.

1. IIRC, the murals were actually huge Apple Computer ads |

Though they were chosen especially for the DNC convention by Steve Jobs, a Democrat.

They were part of the "Think Different" ad campaign, and I think they ended that.
